How to claim and activate both the Physical and Virtual Visa Incentive card

The Virtual Visa Incentive card is one of a variety options that Giftbit offers as a reward choice and provides the flexibility to spend the card anywhere Visa is accepted with some exceptions.

Both the virtual and physical options have a claim process, with the physical Visa also having an activation step once the card arrives.


Claiming your Visa Card

With both the virtual and physical Visa cards, there are somethings to keep in mind.

  • Your available reward options are set by the sender and cannot be changed by Giftbit.

  • Your card will expire 6 months after it is claimed, so plan to use it before then.

    • The cards expire at 11:59 PM UTC time on the last day of the expiry month.

  • By claiming a Visa reward, you agree to the cardholder agreement.

Virtual Visa Incentive card

  1. In your offer email, click Claim Card.

  2. Select Enter Address Info.

    1. Enter your legal name, phone number and home address.

      • P.O. Boxes are not accepted

      • This information will be used if making a purchase online.

    2. Enter a 4 Digit PIN.

      • When using a virtual wallet in-store, the merchant may require a PIN for the transaction.

      • Avoid using repeating numbers as weak pins may be rejected in the claim process.

  3. Review and select Confirm.

  4. Document the card details (Card Number, Expiration Date, & CVV) in a secure location.

    • We recommend keeping the email/link handy as the card page will also list your balance and transaction history.

Once you see the card information you are good to start spending. The Virtual Visa does not require further activation. Information on using the card can be found here and for adding to virtual wallets, that can be found here.

💡If your claim of the Virtual Visa fails, make sure there are no special characters in the name or address field, and that you are using a strong PIN without repeating numbers, then attempt to claim the card again.


Physical Visa Incentive card

  1. In your offer email, click Claim Card.

  2. Select Enter Address Info.

    1. Enter your legal name, phone number and home address.

      • P.O. Boxes are not accepted.

      • This information will be used if making a purchase online.

  3. Review and select Confirm.

  4. Reward request will be processed and the physical card should arrive within 2-3 weeks of your claim date.

    1. If the card has not arrived after 3 weeks, reach out to support@giftbit.com.

Activating your physical Visa Incentive card

Once you receive the physical Visa, follow these instructions to activate the card. If you have the virtual Visa, you do not need to activate the card once claimed.

  1. Once the card has arrived, go to giftbit.com/activate.

  2. Enter the card number, expiry date and CVV.

  3. Create a four-digit PIN.

    1. Make sure it is a pin you will remember as you may need it for purchases.

  4. You are ready to spend.

💡A PIN is a 4-digit code for the physical Visa Incentive Card that the recipient creates. This PIN is to be used when making purchases at a US-Based retailer.

The PIN should not be documented on the physical Visa Incentive Card or shared with others.
