How to find the balance and transaction history of your Visa Incentive Card

When using your Visa incentive card, it is best to monitor both your balance and transaction history regularly as you use the card. This help understand the largest purchase you can make, see when a refund has been processed or notice a transaction you may not recognize.

Monitoring balance for both the Virtual Visa Incentive card and Physical Visa Incentive card are done slightly differently, so the instructions below will differ between the cards.


Virtual Visa Incentive card

If you have received a Virtual Visa Incentive card, the best way to monitor your balance is to keep the original email/link that you received.

This will always bring you back to your card page (containing your full card information) and the balance on this page also updates as you use the card.

For transaction history, the bottom of the page will list all associated transactions with the card. If a transaction is still in a pre-auth state, the transaction will not be reflected until the transaction is considered complete.

If you have lost the original email or link, reach out to support@giftbit.com with your phone number and we can resend the reward to you.

💡Virtual wallets like Apple Pay and Google Wallet do not have access to your card balance and will only show transaction history for transactions made through those applications.

Physical Visa Incentive card

If you have received a Physical Visa Incentive card, you can check the balance by going to giftbit.com/balance and entering the card number, expiry and CVV. This will populate your balance as well as your transaction history.

Transactions that are in a pre-auth state will not be listed in the transaction history until the transaction is completed.

Giftbit's balance page only works for Giftbit's Visa incentive card. If your card was issued by a different provider, the balance page will not work.

💡If you required a resent physical card (if your card was lost or never arrived), the balance page will not work. Feel free to email support@giftbit.com or reach out to (877) 554-2186 and we can check your balance for you.


Why is my balance not correct?

If the balance of your card seems incorrect, this is likely due to a pre-auth which are a normal function of credit cards as well as pre-paid cards.

For instance a retailer may not complete a transaction right away. They will pre-auth the amount, and then complete the transaction at which time the transaction will show as complete on the balance page.

If you had a transaction decline but funds were still pulled, it likely means the pre-auth still needs to clear. This can take 5-10 business days (Monday-Friday, excluding holidays) for funds to appear back on the card. If after 10 days it has not, reach out to support@giftbit.com with your phone number and we can take a look.

Can refunds be processed back onto the card?

Refunds can be processed back onto your Visa Incentive card and this is for both the physical and virtual Visas. Refunds can take up to 10 business days (Monday-Friday, excluding holidays) to process and are not instant so check your balance regularly to see when it updates.
