Remove an App

Take an app out of a project or Space. The app itself isn't deleted from the database.

Keep a project or Space focused on the deal at hand by removing apps you no longer need. Removing an app takes it out of that one project or Space. The app itself isn't deleted from the database. It stays in the Content Library, and you can add it back anytime.

Remove an app from its panel

  1. Right-click the app's name at the top of its panel.

  2. Choose Remove app.

  3. Confirm. The app closes and is taken out of this project or Space for everyone. The app itself isn't deleted from the database.

Remove an app from a project or Space

  1. Open the Content Library.

  2. Click Project. This tab shows the content in the project or Space you have open.

  3. Under Content Type, choose Apps. The list shows every app in this project or Space.

  4. Hover the app and click the X. Its tooltip reads Remove from project.

  5. Confirm in the Remove from project dialog.

The app is taken out of this project or Space only. The app itself isn't deleted from the database.

🚨 Warning: Removing an app takes it out of the project or Space for everyone who works in it, and removes it from all of its panels.

Built-in Giraffe apps can't be taken out of a project or Space. Removing one closes its tabs. It stays in the Apps menu, ready to reopen.

Removing an app doesn't delete it

Removing an app never deletes it from the database. The app stays in the Content Library, and every other project or Space that uses it keeps it. To add it back, open the Content Library and click Get on the app.

If you are the administrator of the App, you can delete it from Home > Apps.

In a view-only project or Space, the remove options are hidden.
