Overview
The QuickBooks integration links Intuit QuickBooks to GiveMe5 from Setup → Integrations. After you connect, you choose which QuickBooks events (such as recording a sale or updating a customer record—exact options depend on your account) should let GiveMe5 receive customer data and send review invitations through Automation.
From here you can:
Connect QuickBooks securely — use Intuit’s sign-in and approve GiveMe5
Pick your triggers — enable the QuickBooks moments GiveMe5 lists for invitations
Keep billing and reviews aligned — use customer records that already exist in QuickBooks when a trigger fires
Disconnect when needed — remove the link from the integration screen if you switch companies or tools
Before you connect
Requirement | Why it matters |
Admin access in GiveMe5 | Only admins can open Setup → Integrations |
QuickBooks user who can manage connected apps | Intuit must authorize GiveMe5 |
QuickBooks Online company (typical) | GiveMe5’s connect flow expects the cloud sign-in experience |
Correct GiveMe5 location / company | Avoid linking the wrong brand |
How to connect QuickBooks
Step 1: Open Integrations
Sign in to the GiveMe5 Dashboard as an Admin.
Open Setup in the sidebar.
Choose Integrations.
Confirm the right location is selected if you use more than one.
Step 2: Start the QuickBooks connection
In the integration grid, click Quickbooks / QuickBooks.
Choose Connect.
When Intuit opens, sign in with a user who can approve apps.
Step 3: Choose the QuickBooks company
If Intuit lists more than one company, pick the one that matches this GiveMe5 location.
Approve GiveMe5.
Step 4: Confirm connected in GiveMe5
Wait until the QuickBooks detail page in GiveMe5 shows connected. If Intuit returns an error, verify the subscription is active and the user is allowed to connect apps.
Step 5: Choose QuickBooks triggers for invitations
In Automation, select when GiveMe5 should use QuickBooks—so customer data from QuickBooks can flow in and a review invitation can send.
Step 7: Spot-check before going live
Trigger a test event in QuickBooks that matches your rule (for example the action you selected in Automation) and confirm the customer record and invitation in GiveMe5 look correct.
After you connect
Triggers stay in charge — GiveMe5 pulls data and sends invitations when QuickBooks events match what you turned on.
Reconnect after a company merge, name change, or if Intuit asks you to re-authorize.
Desktop QuickBooks files are not the same as this cloud link—see FAQ below.
Tips
Note which Intuit user completed the link so you know whom to ask for reconnects.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the button say “Quickbooks”?
Legacy label in one screen; it is still Intuit QuickBooks Online (or the company Intuit shows during connect).
Can I use QuickBooks Desktop?
GiveMe5 is built around the online authorization flow. If you rely on Desktop-only files, ask GiveMe5 support whether your account has another path.
Can I disconnect QuickBooks later?
Yes. Open Setup → Integrations → QuickBooks and disconnect; revoke the app in Intuit if your policy requires it.
No invitation after my QuickBooks event
Confirm that event type is selected in Automation, that the customer row includes the email or phone your invitation uses, and that plan limits or delays are not blocking the send.
