How to Add Your Existing Fundraising Total from Another Platform
If you have already created a fundraising page on another platform, such as JustGiving, you can create a new page on GiveStar and reflect your existing fundraising total as an offline donation.
Please note that donations cannot be transferred between platforms. Any donations raised through your previous platform will continue to be managed by that platform. GiveStar is not responsible for processing or transferring those donations. The offline donation only reflects the total amount you have raised so far.
How to add your existing fundraising total
1. Create your GiveStar fundraising page
Set up your GiveStar account and create a fundraising page. You can copy the information from your existing page to make this easier.
2. Contact our customer service team
Take note of the total amount you have raised on your previous platform and email support@givestar.io. Our team can add this amount to your GiveStar page as an offline donation.
This reflects your existing fundraising total but does not transfer any funds or donations from the previous platform.
3. Close your previous fundraising page
To prevent further donations being made to your old campaign, we recommend closing your previous page.
On JustGiving:
Select Edit Page and go to Page Settings.
Choose to expire the page by selecting today's date, or delete the page permanently.
Important: Donations made through your previous platform remain subject to that platform's management and procedures. Only new donations made through your GiveStar page will be processed through GiveStar.
