I haven't received my donation confirmation email

What to do if you haven't received your givestar donation confirmation email — including how to check your spam folder, the right inbox, and what to do for Tap to Donate donations.

When you make a donation through givestar, a confirmation email is sent to you instantly. givestar does not issue formal tax receipts, but your confirmation email serves as your record of the donation. If you haven't received it, here's what to do.

Check your spam or junk folder

Confirmation emails are sent instantly from no-reply@givestar.io. Check your spam or junk folder if you can't find it in your inbox.

Check the right email address

Make sure you're looking in the inbox for the email address you used when donating. If you have multiple email accounts, the confirmation may have gone to a different one.

It's sent instantly

Confirmation emails are sent the moment your donation is processed. If you've just donated and nothing has arrived, wait a minute and refresh your inbox.

Tap to Donate donations

Confirmation emails are sent for all donation types — web, app, and Tap to Donate. If you made a contactless Tap to Donate donation and didn't provide your email address at the time, no confirmation will have been sent.

  • The date of your donation

  • The amount you donated

  • The name of the charity or fundraising page you donated to

  • The email address you used when donating
