If you get the message "Contact card issuer" when you try to add the Glede gift card to Apple Wallet, it means that Apple is doing an extra check before the card can be added. This happens for security reasons, and is often experienced when:

  • Your Apple ID is recently created

    .

  • You've made major changes to your account

  • Your device is not yet fully approved for Wallet use

✅ What can you do?

  1. Wait 3-4 days and try again
In most cases, the card can be added normally after some time.

  2. Turn your phone off and on
This can help your phone update its system status.

  3. Temporarily change region and switch back

    • Go to Settings > General > Language and region > Region

    • Change to USA, wait a moment

    • Switch back to Norway or Sweden

🔄 If it still doesn't work after a few days:

Then the options are as follows:

  • Use another device, for example a partner’s or a friend’s phone. You can read here how to do that.

  • Use the card online by retrieving the card details from the Glede app.

  • Convert your gift card to a closed-loop solution that can be used outside of Apple Wallet.
