📊 Understand variable pricing in the Electra+ subscription
In France, Belgium, and Spain, the price per kWh varies depending on the time of day and station usage (peak, standard, or off-peak hours).
To know the custom time slots of a station, go to the app and check the prices on the station sheet. Here is an example of 2 stations in Belgium that have different time slots 👉
💡 Variable pricing applies in the busiest stations. It helps Electra keep the busiest plugs available, so customers spend less time waiting, and pay less when they charge off-peak.
More than half of our stations keep a flat price all day, because they are less busy. Here is an example (French station) 👇
The exact rate is always displayed in the app before the charging session, and locked in for the duration of the charging session.
In Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, there is no variable pricing. A flat rate applies and the discount works the same way.
The ELECTRA+ discount (−€0.10/kWh for Essential, −€0.20/kWh for Smart) applies directly if subscribed. The price seen on the station sheet is the price that will be paid.
🤝 Take advantage of the subscription rate in another country than the subscription one
Once subscribed to ELECTRA+, preferential rates apply to all charges made on our network, regardless of the country.
The discount amount depends on the chosen plan:
Essential: -€0.10/kWh compared to the public app price
Smart: -€0.20/kWh compared to the public app price
💡 The ELECTRA+ rate does not apply to professional accounts configured with an external payment method.
The ELECTRA+ subscription is only available to users in countries where Electra stations are located.
🗺️ ELECTRA+ rates and ChargeLeague network
When you choose the Smart plan, ELECTRA+ rates also apply to charges made at a ChargeLeague network operator.
The rates offered depend on the country where charging began:
France: €0.49/kWh
Spain: €0.54/kWh
Belgium: €0.59/kWh
Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Netherlands: €0.64/kWh
💡 The Electra+ Essential plan (€1.99/month) doesn’t provide preferred rate with ChargeLeague. It only gives a -0.10€/kWh discount on the Electra network, compared to the public app price.
❓What if the ELECTRA+ rate doesn't apply to a charging session?
There are various reasons why the ELECTRA+ rate may not have been applied when starting a charge:
The charge was started directly at the station using a bank card
The charge was started using a charging badge as the payment method
The subscription was taken out after the charge was started
