Introduction

A Golfmanager promotional code, also called promocode, is a discount that we offer to our customers on our website if they know and enter a code in the shopping cart.

These promotional codes can be used to apply discounts to:

  • Specific groups. For example, for clubs with correspondence.

  • A specific channel. Above all it is useful to know if a media or channel is working well. For example "Radio Marca". If in the ad you put that you enter this code to get a 10% discount, then you can see how many players have taken advantage of the offer and the impact of this.

General

To make a new promotional code follow these simple steps:

Code: In this field we will put the name of the promotional code that the players will have to write. This field is alphanumeric. Following the previous example "radiomarca".

Filters

In this section we can optionally limit the use of this code in several ways:

  • To a specific Subfamily: By selecting a subfamily here you will limit the use of the code to products that are within this subfamily. For example "Green Fees Correspondence".

  • To a specific Product: Selecting a product here will limit the use of the code to that product. For example "GF 18H Correspondence".

  • Start: You can select here from which date the use of this promotional code will be valid. If not filled in, the validity is from forever.

  • End: You can select here until what date the use of this promotional code will be valid. If not filled in, the validity is forever.

  • Days of the week: You can select here until which days of the week the use of this promotional code will be valid.

  • Holidays: We will check this option if we want the promotional code to be valid on holidays.

  • Start time: You can select here from what time the use of this promotional code will be valid. If not filled in, the validity will be from the beginning of the day.

  • End time: You can select here until what time the use of this promotional code will be valid. If not filled in, it will be valid until the end of the day.

  • Limit of uses: Here you can limit the number of uses of this code. Once this limit is reached, you will not be allowed to redeem any more times.

Prices

In this section we will assign the discount to apply when redeeming the promotional code. This discount can be in two ways:

  • Fixed price: When redeeming the code, the system will apply this price as the final price for the customer. For example "20" if we want the "GF 18H Correspondence" to be worth twenty euros when entering this code. If the green fee originally costs 100€, the price that remains for the client would be 20€.

  • Discount: When redeeming the code, the system will apply this discount to the original price. For example "20" if we want the "GF 18H Correspondence" to have a twenty percent discount when entering this code. If the green fee originally costs 100€, the price left to the client would be 80€.

Use by the customer

Promotional codes are only redeemable when purchasing online. The customer, once in the shopping cart on your website, will have to click on the "promotional code" button and enter the code. The system will refresh the page with the new price.

Redeeming a coupon from the website by the client

Promotional codes are redeemable when shopping online. The client, once in the shopping cart on your website, will have to click on the Promotional Code button and enter the code. When clicking on Apply, the system will refresh the page with the new price. Promotional codes will not be applied to the entire cart.

Redeeming a coupon at the POS

Promotional codes can also be redeemed from the POS. You must have previously added the POS button "Apply Coupon" and, just by clicking and entering the client's code, the system will apply the discount.

Note that the discount is made per sales line and not per sale. Or what is the same, the discount is made per booking and not to the whole cart. That is, if you have a cart with 4 green fees and the remaining balance of coupons is 1, the discount will be applied only to one of them.

How does the system calculate the remaining coupon balances?

The system will add up how many sale lines (green fees, products, etc.) have enjoyed this discount coupon. If a sale (or cart) has been used on 4 green fees, the system will count 4 uses of that coupon. Some people may think that if you use it once for a cart of 4 green fees, it counts as 1 use. No, it does not count the number of uses per cart, it is calculated by the number of lines of sales or products enjoyed.
