Simplified Invoices or Tickets

The Italian fiscal printer is a mandatory regulation for every club or business in Italy. It consists in the fact that every time we charge something at the POS we send the usual information to the printer plus an XML. This XML is the one that communicates with the tax authorities. For all this to work the club needs to have a special fiscal ticket printer for Italy of the EPSON brand.

To install the printer is very simple:

  • Go to the App Center and download "Italy Fiscal Printer".

  • Go to the plugin configuration and set the local IP of the EPSON printer. It is important that this IP is accessible from outside (public and exposed). For this you will probably need the help of EPSON or IT of the club.

  • In Billing > Cash register, in the Printer section, the type "Ticket printer" or "Text printer" must be selected. The system does not print if the option " Browser " is selected here.

If we have more than one fiscal printer, we must go to each of the cash registers, in Configuration> Billing>Cash registers and fill in the information relating to the printer that corresponds to each of the cash registers. Specifically, we will complete the section "Italian Fiscal Printer" with the "Printer IP" and "Fiscal Serial Number".

To test the widget, EPSON has provided us with a test printer with the IP "93.71.32.41". This printer is visible on a webcam at the following web address: "http://93.71.32.41:2020/". Once inside, click on "Browser" to start viewing the printer. From this website you can see if the fiscal printer prints, and if the information is correct.

Note: In order for the ticket to show the customer, the customer must have a valid Italian ID card.

There is a list in the configuration menu > Italy fiscal > Transactions where you can see a history of movements, errors, etc.

Once the printer is working, the departments and taxes must be configured so that the taxes are recognised correctly. The Italian Fiscal works as follows:

  1. Golfmanager sends the products to the printer associated to a department.

  2. With this department, the printer sees which tax corresponds to it in order to print the ticket. This means that the tax you put on the product in Golfmanager will be ignored by the printer.

These are the department and tax tables configured by default in the printer:

Example: If we send the printer a product from department = 2, the printer would see that the department is associated with VAT ID 2 (22%).

And where do we go in Golfmanager to tell you which department to send to the printer? In the family. In the Golfmanager family configuration there will be a field "Department" in which we have to put the ID that we want to send to the printer. You will have to choose a department that matches the tax you want to print.

To do this you have 2 options:

  1. Keep the default configuration of the printer. In this option you only need to configure in the family a department ID that matches the desired tax. For example, if the taxes of the products of the Green Fees family are going to have a 22% tax, in the family we will put department 1.

  2. Customise the configuration of departments and taxes of the printer. In this case, the configuration of the departments in the family will depend on your specific case.

How do you know the configuration of the printer?

To print the configuration you must HAVE THE CASH REGISTER CLOSED. Go to the printer and follow the instructions below:

To print out the taxes:

  1. 3333

  2. chiave

  3. 05

  4. SUBTOTALE

To print the departments and associated taxes:

  1. 3333

  2. chiave

  3. 02

  4. SUBTOTALE

Invoices

On the other hand, there are the digital invoices that do NOT go through the fiscal printer and which must also be sent to the tax authorities. To do this you can download the XML in two ways:

  • From Listings / Invoices. Here you download all the invoices in the same XML by clicking on the "FatturaPA" button.

  • From within an invoice. Here you download only this invoice by clicking on the "FatturaPA" button.

There is a website where you can check if the generated XML has been done correctly: https://www.fatturacheck.it/

The most common errors are:

  • Invalid province. Italian clubs have to enter the province with the two-digit code.

  • Invalid character. It is likely that the º, ª, etc. are not accepted properly. Delete these characters from the address, name, etc.

These generated invoices are only valid if the company issuing them is Italian.

Communication Protocol Italian Fiscal Printer – Registratore Telematico

The Communication Protocol Italian Fiscal Printer, also known as Registratore Telematico, is a system used in Italy for electronic invoicing and fiscal reporting. This system is mandatory for all businesses operating in Italy and is regulated by the Italian Revenue Agency. The purpose of the Communication Protocol is to ensure the accuracy and integrity of fiscal data, as well as to streamline the process of invoicing and reporting for businesses. It is a secure and efficient way to manage fiscal transactions and comply with Italian tax laws. To use the Communication Protocol, businesses must have a certified electronic device called a "Fiscal Printer" or "Registratore Telematico". This device is connected to the business's computer system and is responsible for generating and transmitting electronic invoices and fiscal reports to the Italian Revenue Agency. The Communication Protocol follows a specific set of rules and standards, which are constantly updated by the Italian Revenue Agency. These rules include the format and structure of electronic invoices, as well as the methods for transmitting them to the agency. In order to ensure compliance with the Communication Protocol, businesses must regularly update their fiscal printer software and keep track of any changes made by the Italian Revenue Agency. Failure to comply with the protocol can result in penalties and fines. To use the Communication Protocol, businesses must also register with the Italian Revenue Agency and obtain a unique identification code. This code is used to identify the business and its fiscal data in the agency's database. In conclusion, the Communication Protocol Italian Fiscal Printer – Registratore Telematico is a crucial system for businesses operating in Italy. It ensures the accuracy and integrity of fiscal data, streamlines the invoicing and reporting process, and helps businesses comply with Italian tax laws.
