October 2026 - What's New

This October, we’re rolling out three features built around one idea: the things your team does from memory today should happen on their own. Here’s what’s new and how to get started.

Reputation

More Google reviews from the visits you’re already delivering

Most happy customers never leave a review, not because they didn’t love their visit, but because nobody asked at the right moment. Reputation fixes that by asking every pet owner automatically after their visit, using the bookings already in Goose.

The morning after checkout, each pet owner gets one email from you asking them to rate their visit and leave a Google review. Anyone who rates it lower is also asked what could have gone better, so you hear about issues while there’s still time to make it right. Google reviews and private feedback come into one inbox in Goose, location by location, each with a reply already drafted that you can edit and post straight to Google.

Good to know:

  • Requests go out the morning after checkout, with one reminder a few days later if there’s no response.

  • Each location connects its own Google Business Profile and can choose its own setup: Google and private feedback (recommended), Google reviews only, or private feedback only.

  • Meet & Greets and other non-visit transactions don’t trigger a request.

  • Reputation works with Google reviews only. Yelp and Facebook aren’t included.

Getting started: Go to Marketing > Reputation in Goose admin and start your free month. We’ll set it up with you on a short call, so please bring whoever manages your Google Business Profile logins. Nothing is charged unless you choose to continue.

Rule Engine

Turn the tags you already use into booking rules

Every facility runs on rules: which dogs can’t do group play, which customers need a call before booking, which pets need a room to themselves. Today those rules often live on sticky notes and in your team’s heads, and online, nothing stops a booking you’d never accept at the front desk.

Rule Engine turns the pet and owner tags you already use into rules Goose enforces for you. Describe a rule in plain language, like “Solo Play pets can’t book group daycare,” review exactly who it affects, and publish. From then on, it applies to every booking, at the front desk and on your online booking page.

Good to know:

  • Staff can always override a rule when they need to make a judgment call.

  • Pet owners see the offer as unavailable with a prompt to call you. Your tags and reasons are never shown.

  • Rules apply when a booking is made or changed. Adding a tag doesn’t affect bookings that are already confirmed.

  • A rule covering “all offers” applies to primary offers. Room extras and pet perks need their own rule.

  • Not sure why a pet can’t book? Ask Rule Engine about the pet, the offer and the date, and it will tell you.

  • Capacity limits, pricing and discounts, and grooming scheduling aren’t supported yet.

Getting started: Find Rule Engine in Goose admin under location setup.

Engagement updates

Two new tools in Engagement make it easier to reach the right customers at the right time, without building every step by hand.

Build automations by describing them

You can now create an automation by describing what you want in plain language. Goose builds the workflow for you.

  • How it works: In Engagement, click Create to open the AI assistant. Describe your goal, who you want to reach, and when. The assistant asks follow-up questions if it needs more detail.

  • See it as you go: A preview of the workflow appears on the left while you keep chatting on the right, so you can adjust it in real time.

  • What it can build: Triggers based on completed or booked visits, waits measured in days, checks for whether a customer has booked, and email and SMS messages in the same automation. It can also add follow-up reminders if the customer still hasn’t booked.

  • Make it yours: Edit the message content, steps, or conditions directly in the automation editor. Changes save automatically. Turn the automation on when you’re happy with it.

Example: Cross-sell daycare to boarding-only clients. After a boarding visit, wait a few days and check whether they’ve booked daycare. If not, send an email and SMS offer. If they still haven’t booked a few days later, send a reminder.

Segment by pet and pet owner tags

You can now build audience segments from the pet tags and pet owner tags you already use, then send broadcasts and automations to just those customers.

  • How it works: In Engagement, go to the Segments tab, create a new segment, and add conditions based on pet tags, pet owner tags, or both.

  • Layer your rules: Combine tags with booking behavior. For example, target pets tagged “caution” who don’t have a daycare visit booked in the next few days, or VIP pet owners who haven’t booked daycare recently and have nothing upcoming.

  • Check before you save: A live preview shows who matches as you add rules. Once it looks right, save the segment and use it right away in broadcasts and automations.
