The Check Out Process

The check-out process on Goose.Pet ensures that every pet's stay concludes smoothly, with all necessary details and payments in place. This guide will walk you through the steps to check-out a pet from boarding.

  1. Initiating Check-Out:

    • Go to the dashboard.

    • Choose the Check Out option for the pet(s) you wish to check-out.

  2. Navigating the Check-Out Page:

    • Similar to the check-in process, the check-out page is organized into expandable drawers, each containing specific information sections. While collapsed, each drawer displays a snippet of its content.

    • Currently, the information within these drawers cannot be edited during the check-out process. (Note: Editing capabilities are in development and will be available soon.)

  3. Finalizing the Check-Out:

    • After reviewing the details in the drawers, choose Check Out at the bottom of the page.

    • Once selected, the reservation status will update to "Checked-out".

    • You'll be redirected to the Reservation Summary page. Here, you can collect the final payment for the pet's stay.

  4. Collecting Payment at Check-Out:

    • The invoice will populate on the left hand side of the screen with an itimized list of what was purchased

    • The balance will populate on the right hand side of the screen

    • Underneath the balance you will be able to add a tip onto the order by asking your customer a percentage value or selecting "Other"

      • For customers with a physical payment terminal, the tip options will be presented on the terminal

    • To collect final payment choose between the following options under "Make a Payment":

      • Saved card - will show you the last four digits of the card that was previously used and saved

      • Swipe/Insert Tap - sends the payment to the last used terminal for the customer to use their credit card

      • Manual Entry - Manually enter credit card information

      • Cash - if you accept cash payments you can use this to reconcile the payment

      • Other - If there was a different form of payment, you will be asked to leave a note alongside this selection

    • Once you have the appropriate option select "Pay" and it will submit payment for the remaining balance

  5. Adding Tip After Payment was Already Collected:

    • Click into a closed invoice

    • Click "View Summary"

    • Click "Add Tip" on the right ride of the screen

    • Select Tip amount and payment type
