Steps for carrying out your report:

1) Identify internal stakeholders for data collection

2) Import accounting data

3) Fill in the building and company profile modules

4) Send the employee survey

5) Validate transactions

6) Complete your activity modules

7) Verify your data and ask for your report

1. Create your account on the platform

The first step towards the completion of your GHG Assessment is to register on our platform.

To do so, click on the registration page and choose your login details.

2. Fill in your company and building information

Part of your carbon footprint is estimated through company information. Go to the "Data > Company Information" tab to complete the following information:

✏️ The general information of the organization (Name, industry, number of employees, turnover)

🏢 To share the data related to the buildings you occupy (type of building, surface, energy consumption, air conditioning data) to the "Data > Building" tab :

You can add as many buildings as you want by clicking on "Add building".

3. Engage your employees

📮 Information related to your employees (Home-work travel, telecommuting habits, eating habits) is collected through a survey that is sent from the "Data > Employee" module of the platform.

ℹ️ Refer to this guide for instructions on how to send the survey.

4. Import your accounting data

As you know, your GHG Assessment is partly based on the analysis of your accounting data.

The second step therefore consists of importing your General Ledger onto the platform, in the "Data > Accounting Upload" module.

⚠️ The period covered by the Accounting Entry File must correspond to the year of the GHG Assessment.

ℹ️ Refer to this guide to understand what types of data are expected and how you can import them.

5. Categorize and validate your transactions

Once your transactions are available on your account, it is necessary to check the categories proposed by our algorithm. When a category corresponds to the expense, you can validate it, otherwise you must choose another from our list.

Go to the “Financial – overview” tab to find your expenses and the various associated graphs (categorization score and main emission categories).

ℹ️ This guide will show you how to perform this step

6. Complete your activity modules

To gain precision, our methodology is also based on a physical analysis.

Depending on your industry, a number of activity modules will be available. When you have the data, complete the modules to obtain a more precise assessment.

⚠️ Duplicates may appear with your financial data.

Let's take an example: if you added a train trip (in particular by indicating the kilometers), it is possible that this same trip appears in your expenses. To avoid double counting which would impact your emissions, you must mark the expense as duplicate physical data.

ℹ️ Refer to this guide to find out how to do this step.

Bonus: Add your reduction plans

You didn't wait for Greenly to start your environmental journey? 🌱 Congratulations!

Add the actions you have already implemented in the platform, in the "Data - Reduction Actions" tab.

⚠️ Note that this step is very important, and must be completed before the assessment. It allows our climate experts to deliver you specific reduction actions, related to your progress.

ℹ️ This article gives more information about the different features of the Action Plan.

When you are done completing a module, you can click on "Mark as validated" on the task from your dashboard.
You can do the same if you don't have the required data to fill a module and click on "Skip the task".

7. Congratulations, you have imported all your data! You can now request your report from the Data Quality tab.

Keep in mind that we need a minimum of 10 business days to analyze your data and edit your report.
