Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to hire a new lawn care business using your free GreenPal account.
Step 1: Cancel Your Existing Appointments
Navigate to Your Schedule: Log in to your GreenPal account either on the website or mobile app. Access "My Schedule" from the menu.
Cancel Appointments: Individually click "Cancel" next to each of the appointments you have scheduled with your current lawn service.
Step 2: Request New Quotes
Go to the Main Screen: After cancelling, click the logo in the upper left corner to return to the main screen of your account.
Request Quotes: Click on the "Get New Quotes" button located at the bottom of the main screen. You can receive new quotes for free and choose another provider suitable for your lawn care needs.
Important Considerations
Rate Changes: Keep in mind that canceling your service to request new quotes may result in losing your current rate from the lawn care service you previously hired. The new quotes you receive may be higher, as rates are set independently by each lawn service provider.
Service Limitations: The lawn care providers that pay to operate their business on GreenPal generally only accept weekly or bi-weekly clients and do not offer one-time cuts. If your grass is over 8 inches tall, be prepared for a potential surcharge from any lawn care company you hire with your GreenPal account on the first cut to get your yard back under control.
Quote Limits: You can request new bids for free twice per year. If you have already used this feature twice within the year, you must wait until next year to request new quotes again or continue with your last hired service.
Step 3: Build Trust for More Quotes
Complete Transactions: By completing 6 successful transactions through your GreenPal account, you build trust within the community. This upgrade allows you to request up to 3 free quotes per year.
