Understanding how to use your free GreenPal account to get free bids, hire, and pay your local lawn care service can make managing your lawn care needs simple and efficient. Here’s a detailed guide on how to make the most of your free GreenPal account.
Getting Bids
GreenPal's technology helps lawn care services who pay for access to submit their pricing based on the square footage of your lot, aerial images, and street view imagery. This ensures you receive accurate quotes from these indecently owned and operated lawn care companies for your needed services.
Hiring your Lawn Service
Choose a Lawn Service: After reviewing your free bids, select the lawn service you want to hire for the season.
Reserve Your Spot: When you hire a lawn service, your credit card information is entered into their embedded card processor account powered by Stripe. This is used to reserve a spot on their route. Your lawn company you hire will bill your card directly and they will not charge you until the service is completed and confirmed.
Service Confirmation: After your lawn care service completes the job, you will receive an email with a picture of their finished work. This serves as your digital invoice from them. Once you confirm that their job is done to your satisfaction, your lawn company will bill your card directly with their merchant account; GreenPal does not bill your card.
Payment Process
Security: GreenPal does not store your credit card information or charge you directly. Instead, the lawn companies handle all billing through their secure Stripe merchant accounts.
Convenience: You don’t need to be home when your company services your lawn. After your lawn care service uploads their photo of their completed work, they will automatically bill your card at midnight from their stripe merchant account.
Setting Up Recurring Services
Ongoing Services: After your first successful mowing, you can set up weekly or bi-weekly mowing services for the rest of the season using your free GreenPal account. You can also request quotes for additional yard work from the same lawn company you are working with.
Quick Tip
Photo Upload: If you have received the service but haven’t yet received the email with their picture, send a quick text to your lawn service provider reminding them to upload their photo to their account. It may take a few hours or even a day for the photo to be uploaded after mowing.
