The Staff Permissions feature in Groovio, found under Admin Settings > Staff Permissions, allows you to control the access and functionality available to each staff member. By customizing permissions, you can ensure that staff members have the appropriate level of access for their roles.

Viewing and Editing Staff Permissions

In the Staff Permissions view, you’ll see a list of staff names. By default, staff members do not have any permissions assigned. To adjust permissions:

  1. Locate the staff member you wish to edit and click the Edit action next to their name.

  2. Select from the following permission options to grant the necessary access:

    • Manage Studio Permissions:

      • Tags, Terms, Memberships, Packages, Rooms, Skill, Students, Studio Notes, Classes, Services, All Staff

    • Events and Communication:

      • Events, Chat, Marketing, Automated Marketing

    • Scheduling and Dashboard Access:

      • Schedule View Only, Schedule Detail, Schedule View and Edit, Dashboard

    • Transaction and Checkout:

      • Checkout, Retail (with specific options for Products, Orders, and Tax)

    • Administrative Settings:

      • Locations, Account (with options for Studio Tax, Studio Profile, and Billing), Set Staff Permissions

    • Other Features:

      • Analytics, Activity Log, Waiver & Policies, Cancellation Settings, Questionnaire, Discount Codes

Each permission can be individually assigned, allowing precise control over what each staff member can view or manage.

Additional Notes

Staff permissions should be tailored to each individual’s role to maintain security and streamline operations within your studio. You can return to this view at any time to update or adjust permissions as roles evolve.

Chat permissions are an all or none selection. If a staff has chat permission, they are able to view all conversations that belong to the studio.

The Staff Permissions feature in Groovio offers a straightforward way to customize staff access, supporting efficient and secure studio management.
