There are two main ways to organize practice sessions based on your needs:
As a Class:
Create a class named "Practice" and assign an instructor. If no instructor is required, create a placeholder staff member named βNo Instructor.β
Schedule the session, allowing students to book it like any other class.
Adding membership benefits is easy with this setup. For example, you could offer unlimited free practice sessions for top-tier members by creating a membership benefit rule, granting 100% OFF for a specific membership tier.
As a Service:
Setting up "Practice" as a service works well if students need to book studio time on-demand, like a studio rental.
Assign an instructor and adjust their availability for the days and times practice sessions will be open. For instance, if an instructor can oversee the studio on Saturdays from 10 AM to 4 PM, students can book any available slots during those hours.
You will need to ensure the instructor selected has been made available across different days and times where you will be allowing the practice to occur.
Choosing a class setup is ideal for pre-scheduled sessions with perks for members, while using a service works best for flexible, on-demand bookings, helping students maximize their access to practice time.
