Students are required to complete the waiver, PAR-Q, and any other set questions once they book their first class with your studio. Here’s how each element works:
Waiver: The waiver must be signed before the student’s first booking. Students cannot complete their booking without agreeing to the waiver, making it a mandatory step. They can read your studio's waiver policy at any time by tapping Waiver Policy on your studio's page in the app. The signed waiver is digitally stored, ensuring a seamless process for both students and administrators. Previously, waivers were acknowledged with a checkbox during the first purchase, but this was not stored for future reference. The updated mandatory signing process ensures compliance with evolving standards.
PAR-Q and Questionnaire: Each studio chooses whether these forms appear before or after the student pays for their first booking. Set the questionnaire’s Timing (Before Payment or After Payment) under Manage Studio > Questionnaire, and the PAR-Q’s timing under Manage Studio > PAR-Q. Depending on your studio’s settings, the PAR-Q and questionnaire can be set as either mandatory or optional, allowing studios to collect essential information tailored to their needs.
Viewing Completed Forms: To view completed PAR-Qs, or questionnaires, go to Manage Studio > Students and select the Questionnaire or PAR-Q tab.
Waivers you add to a student's profile, or that come from a student tag: These don't wait for a booking. A pending waiver pops up automatically in the app when it starts or when the student logs in, and on the student website when they open it while logged in. There is no separate waivers page in the app. If the student says nothing came up, ask them to fully close the app and open it again, because a pop-up won't appear while the app is still running in the background.
