How to Mark Attendance

Attendance is managed through the Class List Screens on the Schedule page. Staff can select from three attendance statuses:

  1. Pending: All students are initially marked as “Pending” until attendance is manually updated by staff.

  2. Attended: Select this option for students who attend the class.

  3. No Show: Use this option for students who miss the class without notice or cancel outside the allowed period.

Steps to Mark Attendance

  1. Go to the Schedule page.

  2. Select the class for which you wish to mark attendance.

  3. Under Action or Attendance Status, click the current status to view a dropdown menu, then select the appropriate attendance type.

Managing Class Credits for Missed Classes

If you wish to return a class credit to a student’s package or membership, it’s recommended that the student completes this action themselves through the app, as it’s a quicker and more reliable process.

If staff need to manage this, they can remove the student from the class anytime before it begins. However, note that removing a student from a class will not automatically grant a credit; this depends on several factors:

  • Class Type: Different settings apply for course classes versus drop-in classes.

  • Refund Option: Staff can choose to Remove with Refund or simply Remove without refunding the credit, based on the studio’s policy and the class type.

If additional credit is required, staff can apply a Package to the student’s account to add a credit back manually. This approach is useful when credit needs to be reissued separately from the standard attendance process.

By following these steps, you can effectively manage attendance and ensure accurate record-keeping for all classes.

Notes

When marking attendance as "No Show" it doesn't open up a slot to add a new student. To do so, you would need to edit the scheduled class, and increase the capacity. Then follow the checkout procedure to add the student to the class.
