Staying on top of your health and wellness goals is easier when your tools work together. By integrating your Fitbit data with Habitify, you can automate your habit tracking, making it simpler to monitor your progress and stay motivated.
How to Set Up
On the Journal view, tap on the '+' button and select "Create Good Habit."
Switch to the "Fitbit" section which is specifically designed for habits that will sync data from your Fitbit.
Choose the specific data category you want this new habit to track.
Define the goal for your chosen data category (e.g., 10,000 steps, 8 hours of sleep, 2 liters of water).
If you haven't connected Habitify to your Fitbit account before, you'll need to grant permission. Click the "Allow Access" button.
You will be redirected to your web browser to log into your Fitbit account. Ensure you log in with the exact same Fitbit account that you use in the Fitbit app on your phone. This is crucial for a successful connection.
Once you've successfully logged in and granted permission, you can then see & tap the "Continue" button.
Set up the habit details just like any other habit in Habitify. Check again the guide here.
Tap the "Save" button. Your new Fitbit-linked habit will now be added to your list in the Journal view.
You'll be able to easily distinguish habits that are linked and syncing data from Fitbit. These habits will be marked with a heart icon (β₯) on the Journal view in Habitify.
Important Notes:
As mentioned in Step 4, it is critical that the Fitbit account you authorize via the browser is identical to the one signed into your Fitbit mobile app. Mismatched accounts will prevent data from syncing.
If you are tracking water intake, please note a specific requirement from Fitbit's end. For Habitify to sync your water data, you must also be logging Food in your Fitbit app. The act of logging food in Fitbit helps trigger the synchronization of water data to connected apps like Habitify.
If there is a new record of data in Fitbit synced, Habitify will send you a notification letting you know that the app already gets the data, except for the steps due to it high frequency.
