Automate your fitness tracking by connecting your Strava activities directly to your habits in Habitify. This powerful integration automatically logs your progress, saving you time and keeping your data accurate.

Please note: Strava integration is a Premium feature. This guide covers the setup process on the Habitify website and desktop apps.

Add New Habit linked with Strava

To add habits, kindly click the blue button "+ Add habits" on the bottom action bar of the habit list view, then choose "Create Good Habit"

In the window that appears, select the Strava tab at the top.

Choose the type of activity you want to track from the list of supported categories, such as Run, Ride, Walk, or Swim.

Authorize Habitify to access Strava

You will be taken to the habit setup screen. Before you can configure your habit, you must connect your Strava account.

  • Click the "Allow Access" button.

  • A Strava pop-up window will open. Log in to your Strava account and grant Habitify permission to access your activity data.

Configure Your Habit Details

Once the connection is successful, the "Allow Access" button will disappear. Now, you can set up the rest of your habit's details just like a normal habit (e.g., Habit Name, Repeat schedule, Area, etc.).

When setting your Goal, please pay close attention to the unit, as it must match the data Strava provides.

Click "Save" to create the habit. From now on, whenever you complete and save a relevant activity in Strava, your progress will automatically sync to this habit!

Important Notes and Rules

Please keep the following points in mind when using the Strava integration:

Unit Limitations

The goal unit for a Strava habit is limited to what Strava tracks. For example, for a "Run" habit, you can set a goal for Distance (km/mi) or Time (minutes/hours), but you cannot set a goal for "times" (e.g., run 1 time).

No Manual Logging

To ensure data accuracy, Strava-linked habits are fully automated. You cannot manually log progress, skip, or fail these habits. Your progress is determined solely by your synced Strava activities.

Removing the Integration

You can remove the Strava integration from a habit at any time within its settings. However, please be aware of two important consequences:

  • All previously synced Strava data for that habit will be permanently deleted.

  • The integration cannot be re-linked to that same habit. If you want to connect it to Strava again, you will need to create a new habit from scratch.

We hope this powerful integration helps you stay consistent with your fitness goals.

Happy tracking!
