What the Master Sequence Is

The Master Sequence acts as your weekly route blueprint, defining the standard order of stops for a particular route across different days. It presents an "Unassigned" panel where all unassigned stops are listed, awaiting placement into a daily route. This feature is designed to give you a clear overview and granular control over your recurring hauling schedule.

  • Unassigned Stops Panel: A dynamic list of all available stops that have not yet been assigned to a specific route day.

  • Filters: Essential filters (e.g., Tags, Action, Work order status) to help you quickly narrow down and identify specific stops.

  • Weekly Route Board: A visual representation of your route's schedule, typically displaying days of the week (e.g., Wednesday) and the stops assigned to each day.

  • Stop Cards: Individual cards representing each stop, displaying location, service type (e.g., Collection, Concierge), and relevant customer tags.

Why the Master Sequence Matters

The Master Sequence feature is crucial for maintaining consistency and efficiency in your recurring hauling operations. It significantly reduces planning time by allowing you to define a standard route that can be applied across multiple weeks, thereby minimizing the need for daily manual adjustments.

By centralizing stop management, Hauler Hero helps you prevent missed stops, optimize driver efficiency, and ensure reliable service delivery to your customers. The flexibility to assign stops permanently or for a current day accommodates both regular and temporary service needs, giving you comprehensive control over your schedule.

How the Master Sequence Works

To begin, you enable the "Unassigned stops" view from the action menu, which reveals all available stops on the left panel. You can then filter these stops by various criteria like tags or action types to quickly locate specific customers or service needs. Individual stops can be selected and assigned to a specific day on the Master Sequence board, with options to "Assign current day" for temporary placement or "Assign permanent" for recurring inclusion in the route.

For greater efficiency, the "Bulk select" option allows you to choose multiple unassigned stops and assign them all at once, either for the current day or permanently. Once stops are assigned, you can resequence them within a daily route using drag-and-drop functionality or by entering a specific sequence number, ensuring an optimized path for your drivers. The map view dynamically updates to show the visual path and order of your assigned stops, providing geographical context.

All changes made to the Master Sequence, including assignments and resequencing, are meticulously recorded in the "Activity" section. This section provides a detailed log of "Changed Stops" and "Differences," showing both the before and after states of your route modifications. Finally, to implement your changes, you simply click the "Update" button and publish the updated sequence, making it live for your operations. Please note that unassigned and assigned changes are not tracked in drafts.
