Revisions

Revisions store published versions of a page and allow you to view, apply, or delete previously published states.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Revisions are saved versions of a page.

A revision is only created when the page is published. Changes made in the editor do not create a revision unless the page is published.

The revision overview shows all published states of a page. Each revision includes a title and a publication date.

How revisions work

  1. Open the desired page in headful.

  2. Open the revision overview of the page.

  3. Review the list of available revisions with their dates.

  4. Open the menu of the desired revision.

  5. Choose the required action:

    • Apply to restore this revision to the page

    • Delete to remove this revision

What to consider when applying a revision

When you apply a revision, the saved state of that published version is restored to the page.

Important: Revisions are always based on published states. Unpublished changes are not stored as revisions and cannot be restored via the revision overview.

Tips & Tricks

  • Verify all changes before publishing, as a revision is only created upon publication.

  • Use the date in the revision list to quickly identify the correct version.

  • Apply revisions deliberately when restoring previous states.

  • Only delete revisions if you are sure they are no longer needed.
