This step-by-step guide walks users through the process of choosing an alternate save location during the extraction setup. You can choose to save the extraction backup to an external location such as a USB drive or external hard drive instead of your computer's internal storage. This may be necessary if your computer doesn’t have enough available storage or if you want to preserve the backup in a separate location for long-term storage without taking up space on your computer.
Step 1: Click Browse
During extraction setup, you’ll have the option to choose where the extraction backup is saved. To select a specific location, click the Browse button.
Step 2: Select the Drive
Choose the folder, external drive, or cloud-synced location where you want to save the backup, then click Open.
If using an external drive, we recommend an external SSD for best performance. Flash or thumb drives are supported, but they tend to be slower and more prone to errors than SSDs or external hard drives.
If you're selecting a cloud storage folder (like Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive), it must be mounted locally on your computer — the folder should behave like a regular file path.

Step 3: Start Backup
Once you’ve selected a location with enough available storage, click Start Backup to begin the extraction.
