We offer two ways to bring your own number to M1:

☎️Option 1: Port Your Existing Number to M1

If you’re using a second number app like Google Voice, Sideline, or OpenPhone, you can easily transfer (port) your existing number to M1.

Steps to Port Your Number:

  1. Contact Support: Start the porting process by opening a chat and sending the message, “I’d like to port my number.”

  2. Share Details: Our team will guide you through the required steps and info.

  3. Wait for Confirmation: The process usually takes about than two weeks.

  4. Start Using M1: Once complete, your number will work seamlessly in M1.

💡Good to know: There’s no disruption in service while your number is being ported.

📲Option 2: Use Call Forwarding and Caller Identity

If your number is with a traditional carrier (e.g., T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T), you can use call forwarding and customize your caller ID through the M1 app.

How to Set It Up:

  1. Enable Call Forwarding:

    • Set up call forwarding with your carrier to route calls to your M1 number.

    • Check your carrier’s instructions or our Call Forwarding Guide for help.

  2. Set Caller Identity in M1:

    • Open the M1 app and go to Settings > Caller Identity.

    • Enter and verify your primary number.

    • Once verified, your primary number will display as your caller ID.

Note: Texts sent through M1 will always use your M1 number, not your primary number.

These options give you flexibility to use M1 while keeping your existing number. If you have questions, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help!
