One of the products in your bundle is not published to the Online Store sales channel in Shopify. Atlas refuses to publish the bundle, because an offer pointing at a product customers cannot reach would fail at checkout. The message names the product: {Product title} is not published in the Online Store. Fix it in Shopify, then publish the bundle again.
In this article:
Why Atlas refuses
A bundle offer adds products to a customer's cart. A product not published to the Online Store cannot be added to a cart from your storefront, so the offer would break at the moment the customer tried to take it.
Refusing at publish time is the better failure: you find out now rather than after a customer does.
Step 1: Fix the named product
The error names the product. In Shopify:
Go to Products and open that product.
Find Sales channels in the right-hand column.
Select Manage and tick Online Store.
Save.
ℹ️ Publishing to the Online Store channel is separate from a product's Active or Draft status. A product can be Active and still not be published to the Online Store, which is exactly the case that produces this error.
Step 2: Check the other products
Atlas reports the first product it finds, so fixing one can reveal another.
Save yourself the round trips:
In Shopify, go to Products.
Filter by sales channel to find products not published to the Online Store.
Compare that list against the products your bundle targets.
Fix them all at once. Shopify supports bulk editing sales channels from the product list.
This matters most for bundles targeting All products or a collection, where you may not have looked at every product individually.
Step 3: Publish the bundle again
Return to Atlas, open the bundle, and select Publish Bundle. You should see Bundle saved successfully!
If the same message appears with a different product name, repeat step 1 for that one.
The other version of this error
Could not find 'Online Store' publication is different and more fundamental: the Online Store sales channel is not active on your store at all.
To fix it:
In Shopify, go to Settings, then Apps and sales channels.
Add the Online Store sales channel.
Without it your store has no storefront, so no Atlas feature will work. This is rare but it does happen on stores set up for wholesale or point of sale only.
Common causes
Cause | What happened |
Product created by an import | Many import tools create products without publishing them to any channel |
Product created by Atlas from a URL | Check the channel on any product Atlas created for you |
Product unpublished for a stock-out | Someone removed the channel rather than marking it out of stock, and it was never restored |
Product duplicated | Duplicates do not always inherit sales channels |
Product scheduled for later | A future publish date means it is not published now |
💡 If this keeps happening, check your product import or creation process. Setting the Online Store channel at the point products are created removes the problem permanently, rather than fixing it bundle by bundle.
Still refused
If every targeted product shows Online Store in its sales channels and Atlas still refuses, start a chat from the bubble in the bottom right of Atlas, or email support@helloatlas.io, and include:
your store URL
the exact error text, including the product name
a screenshot of that product's sales channels in Shopify
