  • Why are you making changes to how Max Miles redemptions work?

We’re evolving Max Miles to deliver stronger value, smarter redemptions, and a more seamless travel experience. To get there, we’re accelerating toward our north star: 50 direct airline and hotel partners by 2027. The updates starting April 7 are the next step in building that future, one where travel rewards are simpler, faster, and built around you.

  • What’s the difference between FlyAnywhere and loyalty program redemptions?

FlyAnywhere allows you to book flights from any airline or OTA (like Expedia or Trip.com), pay in cash, and get reimbursed using Max Miles, starting from just 1k miles, with the newly introduced partial redemptions.

Loyalty program redemptions let you use Max Miles to acquire points from specific airline or hotel programs. From 21 April, these redemptions will require a minimum of 10k Max Miles. You'll submit your request, receive a virtual card, and use it to purchase the points directly on the loyalty program's website.

  • What’s the new minimum redemption amount?

Starting 21 April 2025, loyalty program redemptions will temporarily require a minimum of 10k Max Miles to align with airline and hotel requirements and support a smoother redemption process. Over the next few months, as we onboard new airline and hotel partners, we’ll begin restoring 1k minimums, 1:1 transfer ratios, and near-instant redemptions.

FlyAnywhere redemptions now start from just 1k Max Miles, with new support for partial redemptions.

  • Why is there now a 10k Max Miles minimum for some redemptions?

This update aligns with how many loyalty programs operate and helps us support a smoother, more scalable redemption experience, especially as we grow our partner network and fulfillment capabilities. Over the next few months, as we onboard new airline and hotel partners, we’ll begin restoring 1k minimums, 1:1 transfer ratios, and near-instant redemptions.

  • Can I still redeem below 10k Max Miles?

Yes, during a 14-day period from 7 to 20 April, you can still redeem with as few as 1k Max Miles across all loyalty program redemptions.

After that, the 10k-mile minimum will apply for loyalty redemption programs. FlyAnywhere will continue to support partial redemptions from 1k Max Miles. Over the next few months, as we onboard new airline and hotel partners, we’ll begin restoring 1k minimums, 1:1 transfer ratios, and near-instant redemptions.

  • What is the current processing time for the redemption options?

Current redemption processing times are as follows:

  • FlyAnywhere: 1-3 business days

  • Cash-for-Miles (for Loyalty Program Redemption): 3-5 business days

  • Reimbursement (i.e. Accor): 1-3 business days

We will gradually bring back direct transfers as we expand our partner network which means near-instant redemptions over the coming months.

  • What are my options if I want to redeem fewer miles?

FlyAnywhere is your best option. You can redeem as few as 1k Max Miles to offset any flight you’ve booked, and for a limited time (until 7 July 2025), you’ll get 2¢/ SGD mile — the best value in the program right now.

  • Can I redeem just part of my flight using Max Miles?

Yes! We’ve introduced partial redemptions for FlyAnywhere, so you can now redeem from just 1k Max Miles to offset your flight cost. While we hope to offer this long-term, it’s currently being trialed and may be time-limited depending on market response.

  • Is Cash-for-Miles available for all airlines and hotels?

We currently have 28 airlines and hotels available under their respective loyalty programs. We expect to grow this list in the coming months.
