If you are using NoteKit for the first time, make sure your desktop device has the latest viaim desktop App installed.
Click here to download or update to the latest App.
After downloading or updating the app, double-click the "viaim" icon to install or launch it.
Record with NoteKit only
Connection steps
Log in to the viaim desktop app;
Plug the USB-C/A port of NoteKit into your desktop device until the indicator light on NoteKit turns white;
NoteKit is now ready to record calls, live sound, audio and videos.
Audio settings
When recording, the audio input device is “Kit”, and the output device is the speaker of your desktop device.
When recording begins, the NoteKit microphones start to work and record. Please do not cover the microphones on both sides to avoid compromising the sound pick-up quality;
The audio output port is the built-in speaker of your device. Please confirm that the speaker can produce sound properly.
Please Note
When using NoteKit alone with non-viaim earbuds to record an online meeting:
On macOS, NoteKit can only record your own voice — it cannot capture the other party’s voice.
On Windows, NoteKit can record both voices.
When using NoteKit together with viaim earbuds, NoteKit can record both voices on any system, including macOS and Windows.
If you conduct the meeting without using earbuds (using your computer’s speakers), NoteKit can also record both sides of the conversation.
Record by connecting to viaim earbuds
Connection steps
Log in to the viaim desktop app;
Plug the USB-C/A port of NoteKit into your desktop device until the indicator light on NoteKit turns white;
Set the viaim earbuds to be connected to pairing mode;
click "Connect" on the homepage or press and hold the side button of NoteKit for more than 2 seconds.
When the indicator light on NoteKit flashes white, it will automatically scan for nearby pairable earbuds.
After NoteKit is connected to the earbuds, its indicator light turns green, and NoteKit is now ready to record calls, live sound, audio and videos.
Audio settings
After NoteKit is connected to the earbuds, the audio input/output device is “Kit” during recording.
When you record by connecting NoteKit to your earbuds, manually switching the input/output port will make the recording process pause, so do not do that during recording.
