If you need to record a meeting that begins on your computer, there are two ways to do it:
If you have both viaim earbuds and NoteKit
You can start recording and transcription directly from the viaim desktop app.
If you only have viaim earbuds
Option 1: Use FlashRecord to record directly on the earbuds
You can connect the headphones to the computer via Bluetooth, start Flash Record after entering the computer conference, and save the conference content in the headphones.
After the meeting is over, open the App and transfer the recording in the headphones to the App for transcription, translation, and other operations.
Before you start recording, please ensure that both the audio input and output in your conferencing software are set to the headphones. Otherwise, the recording may fail or be captured as on-device audio only (which records only your own voice), meaning the full two-way conversation will not be recorded.
Option 2: Record through the mobile App while the earbuds are connected to both devices
You can also connect the headphones to both the phone and computer via Bluetooth, and start recording through the phone's app.
Simply follow the in-app steps to record the meeting:
▌Step 1:Enable Dual Connection
After connecting your earphones to the viaim App, tap the earbuds icon in the top left corner of the page to enter Earbuds Settings > Bluetooth Connections, and ensure that the Dual-device connection toggle is turned on.
▌Step 2:Connect earbuds to laptop
Long-press the earbud's function button to put it into pairing mode, then connect it via Bluetooth to your laptop.
Ensure Your Computer's Bluetooth is on
Search for and Connect Your Earbuds
Confirm Successful Connection
Once the earbuds are successfully connected, you'll usually hear a confirmation tone, and your computer's Bluetooth device list will show your Recdot earbuds as "Connected."
▌Step 3:Recording Teams Online Meetings
After you've started your Teams meeting, open the mobile app and tap on "Record" > "Call Recording." This will allow you to successfully record your Teams meeting content from your computer, and you'll be able to transcribe it, listen back, and get summary overviews.
Through this method, you can see the transcribed text in real-time.
However, in dual-link mode, the recording process is more likely to be interfered with by signals, resulting in abnormal interruption of the recording.
If there is interference with the signal, you can click here to troubleshoot, or use the above method.
Dual-connection mode can be more susceptible to Bluetooth interference. This may cause unexpected interruptions during recording.
If you encounter signal interference, you can tap here to troubleshoot, or switch to Option 1 for more stable recording.
If you're using an M-chip Mac
You can directly download the iPad version of the viaim App on your computer for recording.
There's no need to connect your earbuds to your phone; you can record and transcribe directly on your Mac.
