After inserting NoteKit into your computer and opening the viaim desktop app, the buttons for all three recording modes will light up, indicating a successful connection.
Once connected, you can begin using the available recording features.
Before the recording starts, you can first go to Settings-Recording Settings to select whether to enable real-time transcription and distinguish speakers.
Call Recording
Use case: Online meetings
(e.g. Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet)
When you need to record an online call on your computer, you can use the "Call record" mode for recording, transcription, translation, and other operations.
You can preset the transcription language before recording starts. If recording already starts, you can click the "Language" button at the bottom of the recording page to select the transcription language.
Please note:
If you are recording online meetings such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams, please select Call Recording mode. This mode is designed to capture audio from major online meeting platforms.
If you select Live Recording during an online meeting, only your own voice will be recorded.
If you select Audio & Video Recording during an online meeting, only the other participant’s voice will be recorded.
If you see the message “no call detected” when starting a call recording, please make sure you have already joined the meeting and that the audio input is set to Kit.
If you're using viaim earbuds, both the audio input and output must be set to Kit. If you're not using viaim earbuds, only the audio input needs to be set to Kit.
If you need to translate the transcribed content, you can enable the translation function at the bottom of the recording page and select the target language you want.
You can also set the recording page to subtitle mode. In subtitle mode, the transcribed content will float on the page. You can adjust the text size and transparency as needed. Click again to restore the recording page to default mode.
If you need to share the recording in real time, you can click the "Live stream" button at the bottom of the recording page to share the recording link with friends or colleagues who need to watch the recording in real time. They can click the link or scan the code to watch the real-time transcription.
