Space Overview: Managing Recordings and Files

What Is Space and How to Use It

Written by Misaki

In the latest version, the previous Group feature has been upgraded to Space, allowing you to manage recordings and other files in one unified place.

A Space is your information management hub — all recordings and files are organized and archived together so you can easily find them anytime, without information being scattered across different locations.

You can create your own Spaces and add content recorded with viaim earbuds directly into the Space that matches your purpose. You can also upload files from your phone into any Space.

Currently supported file formats include:

  • Documents: txt, pdf, docx, md

  • Audio: mp3, wav, m4a, wma, aac, flac

Document files do not consume transcription time, while audio files will use your available transcription time.

By uploading local documents, you can complement information that may not appear in recordings (such as visuals or referenced materials).

This helps build deeper semantic connections between your materials and improves the accuracy of Vitana’s answers.
