HONK + Towbook Integration Testing FAQs

HONK's initial integration enables Partners to receive, accept and manage HONK towing and roadside assistance jobs from within their Towbook system and get paid instantly after job completion. Additionally, testing is taking place in specific cities for a limited time with select HONK Partners.

Here are a few answers to commonly asked questions!

WHAT ARE THE RATES FOR EACH JOB?

The rates for each HONK job are always displayed on the job details page of your Towbook system. Each job pays out differently depending on the service type, time of day, traffic conditions, en-route mileage, and difficulty of service. The HONK system continuously monitors market conditions in the area and regularly adjusts prices based on real-time indicators.

HONK rates are completely transparent and available at the time of the job offer - you are not contractually obligated to take the job. Our goal is to always send the closest provider to the stranded motorist to provide the quickest service - this also benefits you, with shorter drive times and lower fuel costs, which results in better truck utilization.

HOW DO I GET PAID AFTER EACH JOB?

HONK leads the industry with speedy digital or direct deposit payments, with 98% of jobs paid within 24 hours. Once you have completed a job, you can request payment by logging into your joinHONK.com profile or by calling 800-979-3162. The Payment link from your JoinHonk account allows you to request payment at your pace - request as soon as the job is completed, or wait until the end of the week or month to request all at once.

CAN I SUBMIT FOR EXTRA CHARGES FOR ADDITIONAL SERVICES?

Extra charges can be requested only when you arrive on the scene, and it is determined that additional services, equipment, or labor are required to complete the job. Refer to HONK Partner Policies for more details and specific service fee amounts. Most extra charges require you to record and submit a brief video of the disablement scene and reason for usage.

You can submit requests for extra charges directly from honkrequest.com. Just enter the PO number for the job and select the category for what you wish to request. In addition, we are working on a new process for Towbook providers that will be rolled out soon.

HOW DO I MANAGE MY HONK PARTNER ACCOUNT?

As a HONK Partner, you can log into your account by visiting http://www.joinhonk.com. Ensure your account information is accurate so you can receive the job alerts for your services. HONK Partners have the freedom to decide what services they want to provide and the radius (in miles) they are willing to travel for jobs.

WHY CAN'T I ACCEPT JOBS IN TOWBOOK?

The most common reasons you are unable to accept jobs in Towbook are:

  • The job was already dispatched with another provider

  • The driver you are trying to assign to the job is missing a background check

  • The job got canceled

  • Your Towbook app location tracking is not updated

If your background checks on your My Team page are all up to date and approved and you verified that your app tracking is updated, then most likely the system does not allow you to take the job because it's already dispatched with another provider or the customer canceled.
