How do I connect the eSIM to a mobile network? (Android Devices)

Updated over 3 months ago

You have already installed the eSIM, next you need to activate it. Follow the activation instructions in the app and make sure all steps are completed:

  1. Go to SIM manager (or SIMs)

  2. Toggle ON your Hubby eSIM to turn it on

  3. Turn on Mobile Data and Data Roaming for the Hubby eSIM

Check the in-app activation instructions if you need to set up Access Point Name (APN)

If yes:

  1. On your device, go to Networks > Access Point Names

  2. Click on ‘Add APN’

  3. Type the Name and APN as shown in the in-app instructions

  4. Click ‘Save’

  5. Your eSIM should automatically connect to a supported mobile network (top right corner on your device)

  6. In the app, the eSIM you just connected will have the ‘🟢Active’ status.

Important:

It may take up to 15 minutes for the status in the app to change to ‘🟢Active’ and for your first data usage to reflect on the eSIM’s data meter in the app.

If your eSIM is still not connecting, or if the eSIM status on the app is ‘🟢Installed’ but ‘🔴Not Active’, then please try these one of these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Turn Airplane mode ON and OFF

  2. Turn Data Roaming OFF then back ON

  3. Turn your Secondary line (Hubby eSIM) OFF and then back ON

  4. Restart your device

Neither of the steps are still not working for you? Please send us a message in our Support Chat and we will be happy to help!
