There are two ways that a Hubby eSIM may be installed:

Updated over 3 months ago

Automatic Installation (Android 12 and newer)

In the app:

  1. Click the ‘Install eSIM’ button, which will initiate the automatic installation process. Please make sure you are connected to a strong internet connection before you proceed, otherwise, the installation process will not be successful.

  2. After the installation process is complete, you will see a ‘Success’ screen, and your eSIM will show status ‘🟢Installed’.

On your device:

  1. When your device starts the process, you will be asked to allow your carrier to set up an eSIM – please allow it by clicking ‘Yes’.

  2. After a few moments, once your device successfully completes the process, you will be able to find your eSIM in:
Settings > Connections or Internet & Networks > SIM manager > usually labeled Global or Plus.
    (just below your personal SIM).

Manual installation (Android 11 and older)

In the app:

  1. Click on the ‘Install eSIM’ button to access the manual installation guide.

  2. Copy the Activation code from the installation guide.

  3. After successfully setting up, your eSIM will show status ‘🟢Installed’.

On your device:

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Connections or Internet & Networks

  3. Then to SIM manager (or just SIMs)

  4. Tap Add SIM or Add eSIM

  5. You will be asked to scan a QR code, please choose ‘Enter Details Manually’ instead

  6. Paste the Activation code and click OK

  7. Your eSIM will be in your SIM manager usually labeled Global or Plus
    (just below your personal SIM)

Important:

If you have not arrived at your destination, please toggle off the eSIM. You will not be able to connect or use data from the eSIM until you have arrived and connected to the local provider at your destination.
