Note: The information below is shown for an administrator role. If you have another role in Hyperproof, like compliance manager, user, or limited access user, your access may be limited due to your organizational role and object-level permissions. We recommend viewing the organization roles and permissions article and object roles article to learn more about permissions.
Navigating through different data views in Hyperproof is essential for efficiently managing and focusing on your compliance efforts. Each view offers a unique way to display and interact with your data.
In this overview, we'll explore the primary views: card view, which provides a visual representation of your controls; grid view, accessible for both controls and requirements, and offering a structured layout; tree view, specifically used for requirements to illustrate hierarchical relationships; and crosswalk view, allows you to visualize and manage the crosswalk view between controls and requirements.
Understanding these views helps you navigate Hyperproof more effectively and tailor your approach to your needs.
Card view
Card view provides a Kanban-style display of your controls. Each control is represented by a single card that includes its name and/or description, the number of requirements it’s linked to, and the control owner’s photo or initials. Card view is helpful for quickly grouping controls by owner or domain.
Grid view
Grid view provides a more traditional tabular view of your controls, with each row in the table representing a single control. Grid view is also where you’ll perform bulk changes, such as adding a user as an owner for several controls.
Grid columns can be resized and reordered. To shrink or expand a column's width, click and drag it, letting go of the mouse button once you’ve reached the desired result.
Tree view
Tree view provides a list of your requirements. When the tree view is expanded, click the arrows to expand individual sections. Within a section, you can select specific requirements. Once that section is fully expanded, you can select individual requirements.
Crosswalk view
Using Hyperproof’s crosswalk feature helps you manage your various compliance projects more efficiently. Because you’ll have already done most of the work in one program, you’ll only need to collect proof for a smaller set of controls, saving you and your team hours or weeks' worth of work.
The crosswalk view allows you to visualize and manage the crosswalk between controls and requirements.
Modeled after the SCF common controls spreadsheet, controls in the crosswalk view are listed vertically, one per row, and requirements are listed horizontally, one per column. The cell for the intersection of a control and a program lists the requirement that a specific control is linked to in the program. The cell displays empty if a control is not part of the program.
The crosswalk view offers fields for name, health, control ID, domain, description, and program. Other fields, both built-in and custom, are not available.
