This article discusses standard dashboards, navigating errors, and some common questions we receive. In some cases, you may need to contact support for a resolution. Reach our team at support@i-360.com.
Which dashboards should I have?
All subscription-based clients are provided the Daily Toplines and Grassroots View dashboards. These are available from Analytics > Dashboards. Clients may also add-on Performance Check for additional fraud prevention detection. Please reach out to your account manager if you're interested in obtaining Performance Check.
What is 'null'?
If you are making calls, you may notice the word Null in your dashboard. The Null Coordinator appears for call attempts where the Predictive Dialer was unsuccessful in making a call. As the Predictive Dialer cycles through numbers, it will not be able to connect to all lines. Because no volunteer is associated with the call, the call is reported under Null.
Short answer: Null means "No Answer."
Why do my dashboard counts not match the survey download report?
1. Counts are higher on survey report than on Grassroots View:
You may notice that when you download a survey report, the counts are higher on the report than on the Grassroots View dashboard. This is because the dashboard only tracks unique households, rather than total number of knocks. If a household is visited over multiple surveys, that household will be counted once in the dashboard.
By adjusting the date range to a single day (for example, June 15 - June 15), you'll see that day's complete progress. If a household that was also visited on June 20, you'll see it appear in the June 20 - June 20 range, as well. Once the range is expanded from June 15 - June 20, that household will be counted once.
2. Counts are higher on Grassroots View than on survey report:
When tracking counts on single surveys, you may see that the survey report counts are lower than Grassroots View. If this is the case, you should expect to see rows within the survey download report that show multiple answers separated by a comma. This indicates that an individual has responded to the survey multiple times, but is only showing up in one row.
Example: John Smith was called twice. First attempt was Answering Machine and second attempt was Take Survey. In the downloaded report, John Smith will only show once.
In Grassroots View, you will see a count for each unique answer (1 for answering machine, 1 for take survey). Over time, this can result in much higher counts in the dashboard than in the report.
3. Tracking in GMT vs. local time:
Some clients, particularly on the west coast, may see counts be mismatched because of i360's time zone conversion. The survey download report is tracked in GMT (EST +5, PST +8), meaning it is possible that grassroots activity at 6:00 pm PST could be tracked for the next day on the Excel file. The dashboards reflect your local time zone, so it is recommended that you rely on the numbers of Grassroots View rather than the downloaded report.
4. None of the above:
It is always possible that collected grassroots data hit a roadblock before getting to the dashboard. If you're finding that some data is missing, please reach out to Support with information on dates, volunteers, and surveys impacted. It is extremely likely that it is a reporting error and very unlikely that the data is lost. The survey download report is recommended in cases when the dashboards are not updated.
Why am I seeing an error?
If you come across an error looking something like this...
...that's on us. Please contact i360 Support and describe seeing a gray error on the dashboard page. A manual step was missed in your set-up process and we'll need to take care of it on our end.
Why am I being asked to 'Sign-in to Tableau'?
A newer security setting on Macs have prevented some dashboards from being visible on our site. You will need to adjust your browser settings to remove this screen. If you go into iOS Settings > Safari > Disable Prevent Cross-Site Tracking (under Privacy & Security and enabled by default), it will then allow you to view dashboards. You can do the same in Chrome, but you need enable “Allow Cross-Website Tracking” (disabled by default).
