What is an Annotation
Tobe Builder allows users to place annotations into the 3D model space. Annotations are task-specific and will appear and disappear at the start and end of their assigned task, similar to resources.
Selection & Filtering
Annotations, like all objects in the Tobe Builder scene view, can be selected in multiple ways:
Scene Selection: If an annotation already exists, it can be selected by simply clicking on it in the scene view.
From the Inspector: The inspector has an annotation section from which you can select each annotation associated with that task.
From the Annotation Global Menu: Annotations can be selected by clicking on them in the annotation menu. The menu can be filtered by color, name, or date created, as well as via text search.
All annotations can also be globally hidden via the visibility menu in the top left of the scene.
Creation & Editing
When creating a new annotation, you must first select the task you wish to associate the annotation with.
Once the correct current task is selected, open the annotations window via the icon on the left-hand menu and click the "Create Annotation" button. Then, place the annotation into the scene by clicking the placement globe onto a 3D object. The default name will be displayed, after which the title, description, size, and color can be edited for each annotation from within the inspector.
Annotations can be edited at any time by selecting the annotation from the global menu or via the inspectors or scene selection.
You can use the transform gizmo to move either the annotation leader position, or the position of the annotation label. It will always face the camera.
