What is an Measurement
Tobe Builder allows users to place measurements into the 3D model space. Measurements can be task-specific and if associated with a task will appear and disappear at the start and end of their assigned task, similar to resources. By default new measurements will be assigned to the current task, however after creation they can be un-assoicated from the task via the "Remove from task" button in the action section of the inspector.
Selection & Filtering
Measurements, like all objects in the Tobe Builder scene view, can be selected in multiple ways:
Scene Selection: If an measurement already exists, it can be selected by simply clicking on it in the scene view.
From the Inspector: The inspector has a measurement section from which you can select each work zone associated with that task.
From the Measurement Global Menu: Measurements can be selected by clicking on them in the measurement menu. The menu can be filtered by color, name, or date created, as well as via text search.
All Measurements can also be globally hidden via the visibility menu in the top left of the scene.
Creation & Editing
When creating a measurement, you must first select the task you wish to associate the measurement with.
Once the correct current task is selected, open the measurement menu via the icon on the left-hand menu and click the "Create Measurement" button. Then, place the measurement into the scene by clicking the each point which makes up the linear or area measurement. The vertex, edge and angle snapping can be used to generate accurate measurements. The default name will be displayed, after which the title, and color can be edited for each measurement from within the inspector.
Paths can be edited at any time by selecting the path from the global menu or via the inspectors or scene selection.
Associate with none, a single or multiple tasks
Measurements by default are associated with the current task upon creation. Users can remove this association via the "remove from task' action, or they can create additional associations to other tasks by selecting each task in turn, and clicking "add to task" from the action menu of the inspector.
