Introducing Private Prayer Requests on PrayerPlatform™

Submit Prayer Requests in Complete Privacy

Updated over a year ago

We're excited to introduce a powerful new feature on PrayerPlatform™ that allows users to submit prayer requests in complete privacy, ensuring that these requests are visible only to designated Prayer Team members. With this feature, users can confidently share their most personal prayer needs with a select group of dedicated prayer warriors. Here's a comprehensive overview of how this feature works from both the admin and user perspectives:

For Users:

Creating a private prayer request is straightforward. Users simply need to select the "Private request" option when adding a new post.

Once marked as private, these requests will not be displayed in the general widget for regular users.

After submitting post, users will receive a notification confirming that their request has been marked as private, assuring them that it will remain visible only to designated administrators.

Users who submit private requests will find them exclusively in their "My Posts" tab.

It's important to note that users' posts will also be marked as "Private".

Within the "My Posts" tab, the request author has the ability to publish updates, view comments, and observe admin reactions specifically related to their private request.

Designated Prayer Team members will receive prompt email notifications as soon as private requests are submitted.

For Admins and Prayer Team Members:

To determine which Prayer Team members have access to private requests and receive email notifications, simply navigate to the "General Prayers Settings" screen within the Prayers section of the admin.

Within these settings, locate the "Email notification for Administrators" module and choose the administrators you wish to notify regarding new private prayer requests. "After PRIVATE Prayer request is submitted notify via email".

It's important to note that only admins selected within this module will receive email notifications labeled "New PRIVATE Prayer Request"

Notifications come as emails with the subject line "New PRIVATE Prayer Request" and already contain buttons for the desired actions

This facilitates administrators in promptly addressing such requests, enabling them to respond, even from their mobile devices, without requiring access to the administrative interface.

When administrators respond and post comments, these comments will be exclusively visible to the author of the prayer request within their post's comments section.

This enhancement empowers users to open up their hearts to trusted prayer partners while enabling administrators to offer timely support, all within the PrayerPlatform™ ecosystem. We're enthusiastic about how this feature will foster deeper connections and more meaningful prayers within our community.
