When enabled, the Calendar switches to a view focused on vacant/shift pool shifts, making it easier to:
find unfilled shifts in the current day or week,
allocate staff efficiently,
reduce the chance of missed coverage.
To use it, open the three-dot More menu in the Calendar header and toggle Vacant Shifts on.
Important notes:
This is intended as a “focus view” for filling shifts. When you enable it, it automatically turns off the Cancelled Shifts toggle (so you’re not mixing two different workflow views).
If you don’t see a shift you expected, confirm whether it’s actually unassigned (Shift Pool) or already allocated to a staff member.
You can combine this with other filters (like Location or Appointment Type) to narrow down exactly what kind of vacant work you’re trying to fill.
When you’re managing day-to-day rostering, the Shift Pool/Vacant Shifts filter is the fastest way to find what still needs attention.
