Form Settings & Advanced logic

Form settings control what the form looks like and how people move through it. Advanced logic lets you show or hide fields, and route users to different steps depending on their answers.

Form Style

These settings change the top of the form and editing restrictions:

Show Cover: When enabled, the form shows a cover area at the top.

Show Icon: When enabled, an icon appears above the title. If no icon is set yet, the system can pick one.

Lock all fields: When enabled, all fields on the canvas are locked. This blocks dragging, deleting, and resizing fields. It can also block deleting the form.

Form Settings

These settings affect how the form behaves:

Allow Step Navigation: When enabled, people can use step navigation to jump between steps.

Show form description: When enabled, the form description appears under the form title.

Assign responses to: When enabled, new submissions can be automatically assigned to a staff member. You can choose a staff member from a searchable list, or choose none.

Conditional Visibility

Conditional Visibility controls whether fields are shown or hidden based on conditions.

To use it:

  • Select a field in the active step.

  • Enable Conditional Visibility.

  • Choose what happens When Conditions Match.

  • Add conditions based on eligible source fields.

If there are no eligible source fields, you will be prompted to add a choice field earlier in the form.

Conditional Routing

Conditional Routing changes where the Next Step button takes the user.

Routing notes:

  • Routing applies when pressing the Next button.

  • Routing rules target a step later in the form.

  • Routing is based on conditions, similar to visibility rules.

Troubleshooting

I cannot enable conditional visibility
Make sure a field is selected in the active step. If you still cannot set conditions, add an eligible source field such as a selection field earlier in the step.

People can jump steps when I do not want them to
Turn off 'Allow Step Navigation'.

I cannot edit anything
Turn off Lock all fields, and check whether a specific field is locked.
