Inbox Monster’s triggered event notifications help you react to threats to your inbox placement rates when you’re outside of the Inbox Monster UI. These instructions will help you send triggered notifications to the Slack channel of your choosing.

There are two methods for integrating Inbox Monster and Slack:

Method 1: Using Slack’s legacy custom integration

1) Log into your Inbox Monster account, click on your initials in the upper right, click on ‘Profile’.

2) Log into you Slack account, click ‘Apps’ then ‘Add Apps’ on the left menu.

3) In the search bar, type incoming webhooks and Add the ‘Incoming Webhooks’ App.

4) Click ‘Add to Slack

5) Choose the Slack channel you would like to notifications to be sent

6) Click ‘Add Incoming Webhook Integration

7) Copy the entire Webhook URL

8) Return to your Inbox Monster ‘Profile’ section, scroll to ‘Update Slack Notifications’, paste the Webhook URL in the Slack Webhook URL field. Click Save

Viola! You have completed your Slack integration for triggered notifications. The next step is to set up triggered notifications (if you haven’t already) by clicking on your initials in the Inbox Monster UI and clicking Notification Preferences.

Method 2: Create a New App in Slack

1) Log into your Inbox Monster account, click on your initials in the upper right, click on ‘Profile’

3) Click ‘App Directory’ in the upper right

4) Click 'Build' in the upper right

5) Hover your cursor over Your Apps and select Create your first app

6) From the pop-up, create an app ‘From Scratch’

7) Name your App (we suggest Inbox Monster), select your Workspace, click ‘Create App’

8) Under App Features and Functionality, click on ‘Incoming Webhooks’

9) Switch the toggle to ‘On’ to Activate Incoming Webhooks

10) Scroll down and click ‘Add New Webhook’ to Workspace

11) Select the channel to which notifications will be sent, click ‘Allow’

12) Scroll down and copy the entire Webhook URL

13) Return to your Inbox Monster ‘Profile’ section, scroll to ‘Update Slack Notifications’, paste the Webhook URL in the Slack Webhook URL field. Click ‘Save’.
