Introduction
In this article, we will walk you through the process of building a native tower ad. This type of ad utilizes a custom rendering template that includes all the necessary HTML, JavaScript, and style elements for proper display.

A standard ad zone with the size set to Dynamic
Insert site-wide if you want the ad to appear on all pages
Insert on the homepage (recommended)
Ad creative: 250 x 500px
Step-by-Step Guide
Log into Indie Ads Manager and navigate to the relevant Advertiser record (or create a new Advertiser)
Click Add Campaign and select Standard Campaign
Enter a name for your Campaign and adjust the Targeting & Scheduling
Click Create Campaign
In your newly created campaign, click Add Ad Item
From the Add Ad Item window, select Native (Custom Rendering/API)
Give the ad a name (required) and insert a Destination URL (optional)
Set the ad item's side to Dynamic then complete the remaining fields as needed
βSelect the Display: Native Tower Ad (Desktop) template from the Template drop-down menu
This template only requires you to upload an image
βClick Save Ad Item
You are now ready to assign your ad to the relevant zone
Targeting
This template is designed for desktops and tablets; it does not perform well on mobile devices. It is crucial to implement device targeting.
Ad Level Targeting
From within the Ad Item build window, scroll down to Targeting
If needed, expand the Targeting section
Under Browser & OS, select Desktop Only
Campaign Level Targeting
From within the Assignment window, scroll down to Targeting
If needed, expand the Targeting section
Under Browser & OS, select Desktop Only
Read-Only Code
When building your ad using a native template, you will see a window with the template code. This code is read-only; you cannot edit or break the template from the Ad Item build window.
Basic Troubleshooting
Ad Not Displaying: ensure your ad is assigned to the correct zone and that the zone has been inserted into your website correctly.
Image Not Displaying Correctly: check that your image meets the required dimensions (250x500) and is in an acceptable format (JPEG, PNG, GIF)
