Managing Consent While Sending Out a Campaign

When sending an email or WhatsApp campaign in Innercrowd, consent is automatically taken into account. This ensures your campaign is only delivered to contacts who have opted in to receive that type of communication.

Consent Settings in the Recipients Step

When setting up a campaign, you will find the consent settings in the Recipients step under the Has consent for field.

This field is automatically pre-filled based on the type of campaign you are sending. For an email campaign, it will default to Email. For a WhatsApp campaign, it will default to WhatsApp. This means your campaign will only be sent to contacts within your selected audience who have the correct consent status.

You can adjust this field to select a different or additional consent type, for example, if you use a custom consent type for a specific concept.

It is also possible to remove the consent filter entirely. This can be useful when sending campaigns that do not require consent, such as relevant announcements or final event information emails. We strongly recommend only using this for exceptional cases. Sending campaigns without a consent filter regularly will damage your sender reputation and negatively affect your open rates.
