How to Create a Consent Page

A consent page is an unsubscribe page that contacts see when they choose to manage their communication preferences, for example, by clicking the unsubscribe link in an email or when they send stop as a reply to your WhatsApp campaign.

Innercrowd automatically provides a default consent page, and you can create additional custom consent pages to match specific campaigns or concepts.

Innercrowd includes a default consent page that is active out of the box. This page displays all default consent types and is used automatically unless you assign a different consent page to a campaign.

To view your consent pages, go to Innercrowd Dashboard > Audience > Settings > Consent Pages.

Click Create a new consent page in the top right corner. A pop-up will appear asking you to name your consent page.

Give your consent page a clear name so you can find it back later, for example, "Newsletter preferences" or "Concept A — Unsubscribe".

Note: This name is for your reference only and will not be visible to your contacts.

Click Continue to proceed to the editor.

You will now see the consent page editor. On the right side of the screen you can see a live preview of how the page will look to your contacts. The following options are available:

Logo (Optional) Upload your logo to display it at the top of the consent page. Supported formats are PNG, JPG, and GIF, up to 10MB.

Button Color and Button Text Color Customize the colors of the save button to match your branding. Enter a hex color code or click the color swatch to pick a color.

Page text Edit the title and description that appear on the consent page. The default text is "Manage preferences" with the description "Choose which communications you'd like to receive from us." You can adjust this to suit your campaign or brand.

Consent types to display Select which consent types will be shown on this consent page. Contacts will be able to manage their preferences for each selected consent type.

Only shows consent types that the user gave consent to When this toggle is turned on, the consent page will only display the consent types that the contact has previously opted in to, rather than all selected consent types.

At the top of the page, you will find an Active toggle. Make sure this is turned on if you want the consent page to be accessible to contacts.

When you are happy with your consent page, click Save.

Succes! Your consent page is now ready to use. You can share the direct link with contacts or embed it on your website.

When sending an email or WhatsApp campaign, you will be asked to select a consent page. This is the page your contacts will see when they click the unsubscribe link in your campaign. Make sure you have created the right consent page before sending your campaign.

Note: If you do not select a custom consent page, the default consent page will be used automatically.

In the preview on the right side of the editor, you can switch between Standalone and Embedded view. The Embedded view removes the background of the page, making it suitable for embedding directly on your website.
