Fraud prevention and payment security
Jamble monitors payments and accounts at all times to protect buyers, sellers and the community. Most of the time you won't even notice. This article explains what you may see in the app when a protection kicks in, and what to do.
What you'll learn
How Jamble protects payments
What the notices that may appear on your account mean
What to do if your account or your purchases are limited
How to protect yourself from scams
How payments are protected
All payments are made inside the app, by credit card or Pix
Payments may go through a security check before the purchase is confirmed
When you add a new card, your bank may ask you to confirm it for security
For some purchases, the only option available may be Pix
A payment may be declined if something is not right. If that happens, try another payment method or contact your bank
Notices you may see
Compras pausadas (purchases paused) After payment problems, you may be unable to buy for a while. The app shows the Compras pausadas message with the date and time when you can buy again.
Acesso restrito (restricted access) If you won a sale in a live and did not complete the payment, the offer button in that live shows Acesso restrito. You can keep watching, but you cannot make new offers in that live.
Restricted or suspended account In more serious cases, Jamble may limit account features, suspend the account for a while or close it.
What can lead to a restriction
Jamble may take action when it identifies signs of fraud or misuse, such as payments that are not completed, accounts created to get around the rules or purchases made with other people's details. Measures are proportional to the situation and may be applied without prior notice to protect the community.
For security reasons, Jamble does not disclose the criteria used in these checks.
How to protect yourself
Always pay inside the app. Jamble never asks for payment outside the app, by transfer or by link
Never share verification codes you receive by SMS or WhatsApp with anyone
Be careful with anyone who asks to continue the conversation or the purchase outside Jamble
If something looks suspicious, use Denunciar (report) on the person's profile or contact support
Legal compliance
Jamble's fraud prevention practices follow Brazilian law. When the law requires it, Jamble may share information with authorities, financial institutions or security partners, as described in the Privacy Policy.
