Choose a Shipping Profile

What you will learn

How the shipping profile on your listings works, which options there are and how it sets the shipping the buyer pays.

What is a shipping profile?

The shipping profile tells Jamble the weight and size of a product's package. With it, the app calculates the shipping the buyer pays and creates the right Correios label.

You choose the shipping profile when you create or edit a listing, under Perfil de envio.

The options

  • Automático (automatic): the weight and size are worked out from the item type. It is the simplest option for common products in the category

  • Informar peso e tamanho (enter weight and size): you choose the package's weight and size ranges

  • Your custom profiles: profiles you create with your package's real weight and measurements, to reuse across listings

Custom profiles

If you always ship the same kinds of package, create your own profiles with the real weight and measurements. Then just pick the profile when you create the listing.

  • Create and manage your profiles in the app's shipping settings, or under Envios and then Perfis de Envio in the Seller Hub

  • If you edit a profile, shipping is updated on the listings that use it. Sales already made do not change

  • If you delete a profile, the listings that use it will need a new one

How to choose the right profile

  • Think about the finished package, with packaging and protection, not just the item

  • Small, light items, like cards or stickers, are cheaper to ship

  • Large or heavy items, like boxed figures or lots, need a bigger profile

  • When in doubt, use Informar peso e tamanho or create a custom profile with the real measurements

How the profile affects the buyer

The shipping the buyer pays depends on the shipping profile, your address and the buyer's address. A profile bigger than needed makes shipping more expensive and can put buyers off. A profile smaller than the real package can cause problems with the label.

Key tips

  • Be accurate. The right profile keeps shipping fair for the buyer

  • Use custom profiles for the packages you ship often

  • Review your profiles when you change packaging

Frequently asked questions

Does the shipping profile affect my earnings? No. The buyer pays for shipping. Your earnings are the product price minus Jamble's commission.

Can I change the profile after selling? The profile of a sale already made does not change. If you need to adjust a sale's label, contact support.

What if my package is heavier than the profile I chose? Always choose a profile that matches the finished package. If you often ship packages that differ from the ready-made options, create a custom profile.

Can I see how much the buyer will pay for shipping? The exact amount depends on the buyer's address, so you do not see a fixed number. The shipping profile weighs the most on the price.

Do all shipments go through Correios? Yes. Today, Jamble labels are Correios labels.

Do buyers' coupons reduce shipping? Yes. If the buyer has coupons, they are applied automatically to the shipping amount at checkout.
