How to create a new campaign?

Each new campaign is another step on the way to fundraising for the charity!

  1. After logging into your charity's account, click 'Fundraising' in the side menu and then click the 'Start Fundraising' button

  2. Click on the 'Create a Crowdfunding Campaign' button

Fill in the details step by step.

Step 1 - General

  • Peer to Peer - If you are interested in an ambassador campaign, turn on the Peer to Peer toggle.

  • Campaign Details - fill in the title, slogan, and category of the campaign in Hebrew and English.
A good description will help donors understand the purpose of your campaign, so we recommend entering a description in both languages.
A correct choice of category will make it easier for donors to find the campaign in the website search.

⭐ PRO TIP We recommend adding the name of the charity to the name of the campaign or to the slogan to facilitate the search for the campaign on the website as well as its promotion in the search engines.

  • Campaign's Story - fill in a description of the purpose of the campaign in Hebrew and English.
A good description will help donors understand the purpose of your campaign, so we recommend entering a description in both languages.

  • Check the box (the commitment about dollar donations) and click NEXT. You can't continue to the next step without it.

Step 2 - Payment Box

  • Payout Options - in the Donation Options field, choose Only one time, Only recurring, or One time and recurring

  • End Date and Time - to set an end date and time, turn on the toggle next to it. A date and time field then opens for selection.
If you want the campaign to continue to be active after the date and time you set, check the box below the date field.

⭐ PRO TIP - We recommend adding the end time only 48 hours before the end of the campaign. Adding the clock in the last 48 hours is a great opportunity for both ambassadors and donors to get the feeling that this is the last chance to take part and you should mobilize for the success of the campaign.

  • Target - choose whether you want the campaign to have a target, and what type of target (Amount, Donations, or Recurring when the campaign accepts recurring donations; a Peer to Peer campaign can also use Ambassadors).

Use the two check boxes below (Show Target and Percentage) to choose whether the target and the percentage raised appear on the campaign page. More donation options are explained in this guide

  • Show raised - By default, the amount raised will be displayed in the campaign. If you want this amount not to appear, first turn off the target (its toggle is gray), and then turn off Show raised.

  • Matching Campaign - If this is a matching campaign, turn on the toggle and set the Matching number (how many times each donation is multiplied). You can also check Set Limit Amount and Deactivate Matching on Selected Date and Time.

  • Purposes - By activating this option, you can set suggested amounts in all types of currency as well as customized texts to help donors connect to the cause.
Check Allow Open Amount if you want to allow donors to define the amount themselves.

Click the 'NEXT' button.

Step 3 - Layout

You must upload at least one photo/video to be displayed on the campaign page.

Media Upload:

  • If you want different images for each language, images must be uploaded in each of the languages.

  • If you upload media only in Hebrew, the system will display the media from the Hebrew language in both languages.

  • To upload an image, you must upload an image with a size of 640 pixels wide and 480 pixels high.
*The file must be under 1MB (SVG is not supported), and narrow margins must be taken into account.

  • To upload a video, you must enter a link to a YouTube video.
*Videos can only be uploaded using a YouTube link.
    * It is desirable that the video does not exceed a length of one minute.

Please note that you can now choose the image that will be displayed when you share the campaign link. Select Share image under the image you want, and it will be displayed when you share the link to the campaign.

  • Media - You can also upload media in English. Turn on the toggle to upload it. If you do not upload, the Hebrew media will be used.

  • Design - The design options are the color scheme, the progress bar shape (Line or Circle), and the icon that marks the progress.

In the preview window, you will see a view of the settings you have selected.

  • I want to add a desktop banner - If you want a banner at the top of your campaign page, turn on this toggle so you can upload it.

Under Rotating Banner, you can upload a banner in both the 'Hebrew' and 'English' tabs for both languages.

After uploading the banner, simply click on the "APPROVE AND ACTIVATE" button, and you're done! You've successfully created a campaign. Mazel Tov! There's no need to wait for the campaign's approval; you can start working with it immediately.

⭐ PRO TIP - If it is an ambassador campaign when editing the video through YouTube, upload the banner image you want to appear on the ambassador page. Click here for the guide for uploading a cover image on YouTube.

Important highlights:

  • You must choose images in Hebrew and English, the campaign will not copy the media from language to language.
If you have not selected a banner in one of the languages, the banner that will be displayed is our default banner.

  • The recommended banner size is 1920x520. The banner stretches to the full width of the window and keeps that proportion, so an image in a different proportion will look distorted.
JPG or GIF only (PNG is not supported), up to 1MB. The banner is shown on desktop only; on phones and tablets the campaign media gallery is shown instead.
    ● If you want to place a clip in the banner, please insert the link to the clip in the Video section, in the Video URL (Hebrew) and Video URL (English) fields.

    ● If it is an ambassador campaign - the standard design will be the design of the ambassador pages, and the banner design will be the design of the main campaign.

The banner will be displayed like this:

    - The Layout step has more design options (template color, progress bar design, icon, etc.).
Click here for a guide on the additional design options.
    - If you want, you can skip the design options and click APPROVE AND ACTIVATE, and you're done! You can come back and update the design at any time by editing the campaign.
