TL;DR: Received a donation outside the site — cash, check or bank transfer? Record it yourself in the Offline Donations screen, one by one or as a bulk file, and issue a tax receipt in the same form.
Before you start — a few important notes
Adding offline donations is open to charities that set up a bank account debit authorization and sent us confirmation (or charities accompanied by our PRO department). This is how we collect the platform fee.
The fee for offline donations is 2% (or per your PRO agreement). No processing fee is charged.
Recording donations is the charity's sole responsibility — JGive does not verify the donation.
How do I add an offline donation?
Go to the Charity Area → Donations → Offline Donations.
For a single donation: click Add offline donation and fill in the details — donor name, amount, campaign and payment method.
Need a tax receipt too? Check Issue a tax receipt for this offline donation in the same form. Note: receipts are ILS-only.
For a bulk file: click Import and upload the file per the template. A summary shows the accepted rows and any errors.
How do I edit an existing offline donation?
Open the row menu (⋮) on the donation's row and choose Edit.
No receipt — everything is editable: donor name, payment method, donor details and comments.
With a receipt — the donor name, payment method and ID details are locked (already reported). Comments and display options stay editable.
The Note field — an internal note only your team sees, never the donor.
FAQ
How do I delete an offline donation? From the row menu — Delete. A donation with a receipt can't be deleted; issue a reverse receipt instead.
How do I filter the table? Use the filter bar: Donor, Payment method, Period and Receipt; more filters under Add more filters. The export downloads exactly what's filtered on screen.
How do I import a CSV of donations?
Click Import, then Download template — the template is generated for you with the correct headers.
The template comes in the language you work in: Hebrew headers for the Hebrew interface, English for English. Both are accepted in the file.
Fill in the rows and upload. If something is wrong, the message tells you exactly which column is missing, duplicated or unexpected.
For a donation that needs a receipt by transfer or check, fill in four separate bank columns: bank name, bank number, branch number and account number.
Campaign ID is optional — a row without one is attributed to your charity page.
Note: receipts are ILS-only, and the reference number must be digits only.
