What Will We Learn Here?

JGive enables you to donate to non-profits in Israel using various currencies, automatically generating a tax-deductible receipt valid in the relevant country. In this guide, we will explain how to switch currencies and which receipt you will receive.

Before We Start

Important to know: The option to donate in Canadian Dollars ($CAD) and British Pounds (£) is available only for non-profits that meet specific criteria and have completed the necessary process.

The system supports four currencies:

  • ₪ New Israeli Shekel (ILS)

  • $ US Dollar (USD)

  • $ Canadian Dollar (CAD)

  • £ British Pound (GBP)

How?
Click the pink arrow in the donation box. Select the desired currency, and continue with the donation process.

Important to Know: Receipts and Tax Deductions 📄

The currency in which you donate determines the type of receipt you will receive. The system automatically generates the receipt according to the following rules:

  • Donation in Dollars ($): Generates a US tax-deductible receipt (501c3).

  • Donation in Pounds (£): Generates a UK Tax Receipt (Charity Commission).

  • Donation in Canadian Dollars ($CAD): Generates a Canadian tax receipt.

  • Donation in Shekels (₪): Generates an Israeli tax receipt (Section 46).

💡 Note: If you are a foreign resident and require a tax receipt for your country (e.g., the US), you must ensure you select the correct currency before making the payment. Receipts cannot be converted retroactively.
